1) Getting Started - The Basics.

1.2 - Writing Your First Ad

Creating your first ad if you've never created one before can seem easy at first
but it takes some planning and forethought before you even begin to type. So,
before I even show you how to create a new ad on Adlandpro, I recommend
you read these guidelines from the book of our CEO "E-Business Success Blueprint"
written by Adlandpro.com CEO and Founder Bogdan Fiedur:

* A person needs to see a specific ad up to 7 times to feel familiar with it and
make a buying decision. Therefore, if your ad has only been seen once, you
shouldn't expect anyone to buy from you. They'll need to see it six more times to
feel comfortable enough to take advantage of your offer.

* We are more likely to buy an item if the product or service has been endorsed
by some known personality.

* People enjoy thinking about themselves most of the time. They think about
problems they have and things they want. Therefore, successful ads list
benefits.
They tell them what the product will do for them and what they will lose if they
don't have it.

* Everyone wants to get things cheaper than they are being sold for. Try
offering discounts for your first buying customers, or free delivery or free samples.

* We quite often make our decision based on direct embedded commands in the
surrounding environment. When you see a green light you proceed forward.
When you see a red light you stop. When someone looks at you and smiles you
will smile back. To take advantage of this, use commands in your ad. Say
something like Click Here or Select One Item from the list. People will
subconsciously follow your commands.

* People like to see other people who are enthusiastic and happy. Express
happiness in your ad and enthusiasm. Demonstrate how the product will bring
them happiness.

* The net feels very anonymous. It is harder to gain somebody's trust on the net
than in real life. Always display a phone number in the ad that customers can
call with any questions if they want.

* Don't use misleading headlines. You might get a visitor to your site but you
will make him/her angry and you will guarantee that they won't use your site in the
future. E.g. Your account has been deleted will not generate a sale.

* Don't exaggerate in your ads. This will usually have an adverse effect on
customers.

* Don't list features of your product or service. Instead list benefits.

* Don't use your name in the heading unless you are a known brand name in the
niche area.

* Don't use italics in your ad heading. They are harder to read and will likely
be skipped.

Now that you know what to do and what not to do, let's start creating your first
ad using the guidelines you saw above. Go to this link:

http://www.adlandpro.com/customerwizard.aspx?order=d

Click "Next" to continue. The following form should be relatively straight
forward.
You're prompted for a Country, the Category in which you place your ad, the Ad
Heading/Headline, the Body of the Ad, phone number, email address, the URL or
web address you wish the visitor to be directed to when they click the ad headline,
and 6 Keywords which are like Search Phrases for the ad. For a more detailed
description of what 6 Keywords are, go to this link:

http://www.adlandpro.com/faq.aspx#faq23

Finally, you can choose to be notified via email when someone clicks your ad.
Select or deselect this option by placing a checkmark or removing it from the
checkbox.

Once you've filled out all this information, you have now created your first ad
in the Classified Ad Section. To view your ad, go to your "Ad Services" section
here:

http://www.adlandpro.com/a/main_control.asp?main=3

You should see your new ad with its headline and some buttons beside the ad.
Click the "View" button to view the ad, the "Edit" button to change the ad, and the
"Del" button if you want to delete the ad (not recommended).

Important: As a free member, you are entitled 3 ads per day to a maximum of 20
ads in the system under your account.

Note: Adlandpro displays newer ads ahead of the older ads; your ad will
continuously slide down and eventually skip to the next page and then the second page
until nobody will see it. Therefore, it is paramount that you renew your ads and
resubmit them. You can do this by going to this link and clicking the "Edit" button
to make some small change.

Our Renewable Ad Service will keep your ad at the top of the category for the
duration of the service.
Visit http://www.adlandpro.com/advertisers/renewable.aspx?TB=ad
for more information.

NEW USER BONUS: Get 500 Free Traffic Exchange credits for becoming an
Adlandpro.com member.

Activate your Traffic Exchange and your free credits by going to this link and
accepting the Terms of Service.

http://www.adlandpro.com/a/main_control.asp?main=7

Then click the "Create New Ad" to create a new ad to insert into the
traffic exchange. Once the ad is completed, you will be prompted to insert it
into the Traffic Exchange area. Select "YES" to do so.

Next Issue

Tomorrow, I'm going to go over with you some of the Features, Advantages, and
Benefits of our Premium Services. These services can increase the return on
your well- written ad by as much as 400% and in some cases more.
